What fruits to bag/not to bag & more questions

All the recent post on bagging have gotten me interested in the subject again. I have a few questions on what fruits are suitable for bagging and which one are not, and also some questions on sprays required after bagging.

First I'll start with what (I think) I know:

- Apples can be bagged with ziploc bags.

- Peaches require breathable bags like nylon footies or cotton drawstring bags

- Bags protect fruit against bugs laying eggs/eating the fruit

Now, here are my questions:

1) What other fruit should be bagged? I'm talking about pears, plums and asian pears. I thought I read somewhere that pears are "sprayless fruits", the implication being that they didn't need any spraying. Is that true?

a) Should I bag plums?

b) Should I bag pears?

c) Should I bag asain pears?

2) Do you still have to spray to combat disease? (black rot, brown rot, scab, etc).

Thanks!!
