Dwarf Fruit and Nut Trees

I have an average-sized back yard, about 3000 square feet. I'd like to plant a row of dwarf fruit trees along the western and maybe also along the southern fence lines. I live in Zone 8a, with blackland prairie soil (alkaline). My neighbor has a few peach trees. I don't know what would grow best here, but I would like to put in dwarf cherry and pear trees. My goal is something that will stay under 10 feet tall and 6 feet wide and produce a good amount of fruit. Any suggestions on what varieties might be good?
