Have: Datura Metel seeds (double purple)

I have my first round of Datura seed pods and wondering if anyone wants some.

they're the double purple. I bought the original seed from tradewinds so anyone who's wondering knows the history.

I have some pics of how it flowered and the seed pod if anyone wants to have a look to see if it's something they want. (see link below). The pods are still green but they're HUGE!

I'll just give them away really, we don't have to trade necessarily. If someone else can enjoy them that's good enough for me. I'm really new to gardening so if you have some interesting seeds I can grow in zone 9, that would be nice. : )

Yes, I'd love some! One word about the purple daturas---the seedpods have a tendency to rot, since they're so...well, juicy.

Izhar, I think mine is in the post office. For whatever reason, the goofy woman didn't bring it to the door. I was gone for nearly 2 weeks. I'll go to the post office tomorrow. Our front door has a sign that says "Dogs on premises" Which they are supposed to know means, Hey there are dogs here, they don't bite, but they are here. Such a dingbat woman! Hi Patsey- Where do you live that you can start them now?! I started mine in pots, but I think they'd be easier inground like my white Dats. They just reseed everywhere, & I just move them where I want them. They have a long tap root and dislike transplanting, but I do it anyway! I had triple yellow dats too, but these Metel Triple Purples are my favorites! kasha77

I WOULD REALLY BE INTEREST IN YOUR DOUBLE YELLOW DATURE SEEDS AND DOUBLEPURPLE AND WHITE. I DO HAVE A TRADE LIST BUT I JUST STARTING TO UNDERSTAND HOW IT WORK. Hi Mai,

I see you now have an email link, but I'm getting a GW error message on it.

Can you or anyone else get to the GW email form via your Member Page link?

I have grown the white Datura metel here as an annual. Would you be interested in trading for that one? If not I have morning glory 'Emma's Gift'. If not either, then maybe you would have some remaining for a sase.

Hey Sue,

I can click on someones name link and then click the link to send an email and it works fine.

When i click on my own it shows an error though... no idea why.

Hey Mai,

Well until your email link is fixed, I guess you will just have to email folks...hopefully they will have a Member Page email link as a lot of newer members don't get it set up initially.

I suggest you reporting it to GW via the Contact Us, link found at the bottom of any GW page. Choose Technical Question from the drop down menu, and then Subject line of "My email link doesn't work" or something similar.

I've not read of others having email problems, so it must not be a widespread issue.

Mai,

I see your email link is still giving an error message.

Did you report it? If so, have you heard anything back from GW?

You 'might' want to try changing the setting to "Show to All" and see if that 'might' fix it. You could then change it back to either "Show to Members or to Show to No One"
