you wouldn't happen to still have some coontie cycad seeds left would you?

First time with Coontie plants, planted two of them outside my pool cage. Mostly sunny southern facing area. They were fine till the cold hit us last week for 2 nights. I thought they were cold hardy, so I did not cover them, as I was short on "plankets" and sheets! They used to be green. Now they are brown. Does anyone know if they will turn green again? Are the leaves that turned brown definately dead? If I took off all of the brown fronds, there would be about 1 leaf left. I bought at Home Depot, and I saved receipts so I could dig up and return/replace

Arrg! That's what mine got too, last fall. All got cut back to the stumpy, and then I started using 'used coffee grounds' for treatment. All have grown back, and only two are re-infested. I'm gonna keep up with the 'used coffee grounds'....it seems to work, or maybe, I only just got lucky. lol. I also use it on our other natives and palms. Good luck to you, too! Could give Plants & Planters over in Richardson a call. They're one of the few nurseries in our part of DFW that still maintains a fairly large indoor/tropical selection. May be able to suggest another source if they don't have them.
