Ming Aralia

I have a beautiful Ming Aralia which is about 5 years old and I faithfully keep it watered as I have found that if I let it dry out - it drops it's leaves in protest )=: However - about 3 weeks ago - it's stems and leaves started to droop and the whole plant looks sick. Whole healthy stems are dropping off with green leaves intact - they haven't turned yellow or brown or anything.

Can someone please help me save my plant?? I really do not want to lose it but I am at a loss about what to do. It has water - I have checked it with my moisture meter. What do I do here????? HELP!!!
