HI Paula, I have both the black velvet and the Phantom. The one pictured on the site you provided is Phantom and so far I have not seen a single seed on it, so Kay is most likely correct. On the other hand I have been collecting seeds from the Black Velvet , I am not sure if the seed will come close to the mama plant. I have Hurrah coral flare and I was told it was steril and if it did sprout at all it would not look like the origial and so far it looks just like mom. Paula, I know you responded to my post for swap but my son went back in the hospital and I had to cancell. I did do a quick post on cancelling the request, but in case you did not see it, I apologize for not going through with it. I am a good swapper so if you are interested in the petunia seed e-mail me. I don't have alot because I just started collecting it, but it is super fresh. I am going out of town for a week as of the 19th and then back a few days and leaving on the 1st again for a week. so the sooner you let me know and send address, The sooner I'll get it out or it will be til april. I'm sorry Sue. I thought you meant that you wanted the link to the review page, D'OH. There is a reason I turned off my email. There were several instances of inappropriate emails, two cyber stocking and then many many requests for free seeds. So I turned off my email. I am willing to leave it on only for a short time to do some trades and then off it goes again. 99% of you are all the most wonderful people, but for some reason, I am a 1% magnet :)

I could be mistaken, but I believe that the tobacco used in pre-Columbian North America was Nicotiana rustica. N. tobaccum was grown in the Caribean and introduced into the Virginia and the Carolinas by the colonists where it not only became a major cash crop for export to Europe but was universally adopted by the natives as well. N. rustica is a smaller plant with yellow flowers but is more potent than common tobacco.
