Starting broccoli, cauliflower & lettuce seeds indoors

I want to start my broccoli, cauliflower and lettuce seeds indoors this fall and I don't want to pot up any. What is the minimum size container I could get by with? I'm going to buy some 72 cell seed trays for some flower seeds I want to start. Are these too small to hold these veggies for any extended period of time?

I've gotten pretty good at starting tomato, pepper, squash and melon seeds indoors. I'm just not sure about these others I want to start indoors.

Thanks
