Ikea sells some "L" shaped stainless shelves that are hung on the wall with a metal french cleat system. However, what the drawings show in the pdf for step 1 is screwing a big plywood 1/2 of a wood french cleat to the wall. They say that this mounting plate is included. The insert is then screwed to the liner in step 2. In step 3, Brackets are screwed to the insert+liner. Then, the insert + liner is attached to the cleat on the wall by screwing through the brackets in step 4. The brackets don't use the cleat at all. Step 5 shows the other half of the french cleat mounted on the back of the decorative cover. It looks like they split the cleat into two sections with a gap in the middle. When they slide down again the wall, they are caught by the first cleat by the opposite angles. I don't think they bought anything special. The metal of the liner is all you need to protect the wall. Now that I got rid of most of my dust and surface collecters in the bedroom (dressers), my latest improvement has been the largest, nice looking rectangular clothes hamper with lid or dh. Dh has actually been using it and grouping his clothing in that corner of the bedroom instead of all over. I bought a smaller hamper for my 4 yo dd at the same time. She uses hers too. We moved into this house last year. We're still doing things related to making the house 'ours'. I painted the kids' bedrooms this spring. We decorated back in August. Since we decorated and I initially helped them clean the rooms, they have been using the rooms and keeping them clean. I think they now have a sense of ownership. I offered the kids a reward of goldfish last weekend if they cleaned their bedroom and the playroom. There were less than 20 items to put away in the boy's room. My 5 yo cleaned it by himself and put things away into the correct places. Dd picked all of the babies and put them on a bench and threw all the rest of her toys into a toybox. My 7 yo even vaccumed.

C-Freeman -- Perhaps I'm biased because I'm a high school teacher, but if I were searching for an artisan, I'd call the local high school's art teacher. No, I'm not suggesting that person would say, "Why yes, I am a glass artisan. When can we meet to discuss your project?" But those people do tend to be rather "clued into" the local scene. They tend to have connections to local artists (because those people like to come into high schools to talk, etc.). I suspect your local high school's art teacher could start you in the right direction. Failing that, run a couple google searches for "stained glass" in your area. I know of three stained glass shops in my mid-sized town: One is a high-end, custom, we'll-make-anything-you-want-but-you-can't-afford-it shop. I saw a full-glass entry door in stained glass /dogwood tree and flowers -- WOW. The other two are much more modest; the owners have examples of their own work -- more like cabinet doors than entry doors -- on the walls, and they teach classes. In addition, our local community college offers classes in stained glass. I kind of think that the community college teacher IS one of the stained glass shop owners, but I'm not sure. I'd be surprised if a search didn't turn up SOMETHING.

Hi everyone - I am also using Section cabinets to create a console for my home office, and then I'm using "Semihandmade" to create the custom drawer / door fronts. I am having huge concerns however with the filing cabinet solution. The Section cabinet frame I am using for the filing cabinet is 18W X 15D X15H. I also bought the Medium Maximera drawer. My issue is that the back of the Maximera drawer is only 5 1/2 inches tall and i need it to be at least 10 inches tall so I can screw a hardware filing cabinet mount into the front and the back. I'm not a fan of placing in plastic or cardboard items that fit inside and hold the files, I know it works well, but I'd really rather this be more professional and have the metal glides. This would be easy to install if only the back was at least 10 inches. Does anyone have any ideas on how to increase or extend the height of the back of the Maximera drawer? They don't make the Deep / High Maximera drawers for the 15D and 15H - so the Medium drawer is my only solution. I also have to use the Maximera drawer as "Semihandmade" is using these drawers as the template to create my custom drawer / door fronts. Thus, it seems my only option here is to figure out how to increase / extend the height of the back of the Medium Maximera drawer. Any suggestions would be beyond appreciated, thank you!
