I'm looking for black Guiness and Black Barlow plants for the shady area of an all black flower garden. The seeds I got from a trade never sprouted, so I'm looking for plants if anyone has them. I have some plants to trade so check out my list. I would also take some nemophilia penny black and black pincushion flowers, and black carnations. Thank you

The flowers for me, get up about 2ft, with foliage about 12 inches tall. I think they are pretty, and often reseed for me if I don't trim them back after flowering.

Veeeeeraaaaaa! I have those same Columbines! I was getting ready to rip them out, and then my mom had to go to the hospital, so I gathered everything that was blooming to make a big bouquet to take her. Seeing your pic reminds me I need to yank the plants out. On the traded and collected seed, sometime ya win and sometimes ya lose, but I agree, those flowers are one step from hideous! Now, the funny thing, if these are so famous for crossing with each other, how come all 1/2 dozen of my plants are exactly the same flower, plant height, everything. I have 6 of 'em! I'd think they'd be varying degrees of that tie dye, or whatever one would call it. I also had that William Guiness blooming and although it did come true from seed, I'm not sure I like it. It isn't really planted near anything that would set off that super-dark purple, and once again, the flowers face down, so, I give it a 3 on a scale of 1-10. In case anybody wants to know, my mom liked the flowers I brought her until one of the nurses went on and on about them, asked me what each and every flower was, and where I got them...then my mom was miffed because *she* wasnt' getting all the attention. LOL!
