Comments (2)LOL, Jules, how I wish I had everything in my yard. But I have to browse the album like everyone else. I have only a couple photos of my things in there, think my cobalt totem and my gnome garden. I just saw that stepping stone with the old keys the other day and thought it was a neat idea. All the credit for this Inspiration album goes to everyone who's created the wonderful things in it. hugs, Karen...See MoreWe've Got Sunshine!
Comments (3)Melissia, I got outside when I could, in between baking batches of goodies....it was a most perfect day! Ilene, It's Saturday afternoon and we have a little sunshine here still. We've had mostly clouds, but got up to 61 degrees before the advancing cold front sent the temperature skidding. The wind has picked up a little, but it isn't blowing hard here yet like it is in some parts of the state. We're supposed to be in the 30s around sunset, which is disappointing. Our fire dept. Christmas dinner/party is tonight, and I had planned to wear a sleeveless blouse. (Oh well, the blouse seemed like a good idea when we were expecting the cold front to arrive after midnight!) I guess I'll still wear the sleeveless blouse, but underneath a red wool jacket. And, I think I'll trade my dressy heels for fur-lined boots. I hate cold weather. Tomorrow it is supposed to be bitterly cold here, and our firefighters will be loading up the firetruck and going out to play Santa....delivering toys to economically disadvantaged children. When they decided last week to do the gifts on Sunday afternoon, they had no idea the weather was going to mimic North Pole weather. I think our coldest night here will be Sunday night/early Monday a.m. but then we have a gradual warming trend and Christmas Day should be pretty decent. You can tell a cold front is rolling in by the huge numbers of birds coming to the feeders. Dawn...See MoreI'm on my way!
Comments (9)O.k. now be nice to my little twigs! The first is that same area now. Privets gone! Remember, these plants were just put in and they aren't leafed out much yet! I feel like I need little arrows pointing to some things...lol....my Lindera benzoin (spice bush) truly are little sticks, as are my Ceanothus americanus (new jersey tea). And my 2 Cercis canadensis (redbuds) didn't come back :( We don't have everything planted yet...need more sod removed...and then I can plant some more! need to remove sod and tie it all in and plant more! walking up towards the front where the privets were to the right...(and most of the little sticks are) need to straighten out the line...removing more sod.. This side needs a couple more plants...my native rhodo (can't remember the name) didn't make it :( And what to do with the grass to the street? It's not mine, so technically I'm not supposed to plant anything there. and this is I think a weed coming up around peonies (inherited, but very pretty), does anyone know what they are? My wildflower area is just now starting to wake up, so later on I'll get a picture of it. Right now it looks more like dirt than anything! It truly does look better in person :o) Terry...See MoreWe've got the Cabinets in...Now What??
Comments (0)Hi All, I'm seeking you talented folks help. Looking forward to hearing what you guys think about our kitchen remodel and how you see this finished out. We are traditionally transitional lol , We like Simple and Tasteful, Warm VS. Cool. Not looking for farmhouse or modern. So far our ideas are - Any others are welcome!! Cabinets - White Dove or Simply White or Alabaster Walls - Edgecomb Gray, Granite - Alaska White on Island side, Absolute Black on Stove side ( to save $$ so don't have to buy 2 slabs) Total kitchen is 65 square feet of Countertops, Stainless Appliances, NO ideas yet for Backsplash which will be in back of stove area and also on wall behind wall next to bar. I was pondering floating shelves there (maybe not white) Backsplash color and style? Flooring, Lighting, hardware, faucet???? L Shaped Bar/Island and counter run - Window on right will be a door to patio. This was part kitchen part very large pantry. View of back of L Shape Bar/Island - 24 inch Desk top at tend under cabinet Measurements are not exact on this but gives idea of layout Thanking you in Advance!...See Moreaka_peggy
