cutting flowers

im looking for seeds to plant to have flowers to cut for vases next year; can anyone help i have lot of stuff to trade . Check out my list please i have pictures i can email if you'd like to see them

I have a Commercial pack of Cut Flower Mixture; Seed contents are:
Baby's Breath,Gypsophilia; Bachelor Button,Double Mix; Calendula,Pacific Beauty; Marigold,Crackerjack; Zinnia,California Giant; Cosmos, Sensation; Aster, Crego Mix; Pinks, Double Mix; Cockscomb, Plumosa; Snapdragon, Tetra

I also Have a small Rose Bush, That I rooted Myself, Not sure what color it is.

I also Have Gladioli Bulbs, That are a pinkish-purple color.

And I have Shasta Daisy seeds.

In the cut flower trade, they cut them long before the first flower opens, when even the first bud is still pretty green, but get them to open anyway as long as they are cared for properly. You can let the bulb do most of that work and cut as the first flower on the stem starts to open. Get some cut flower food (these days available in most any grocery store, and certainly at a floral shop) and use it as directed. Also, change the water often (every day would be good) and cut another half inch off the stem each time you change the water. - Steve

Thanks, both your replies helped. I think I will keep growing the kale for a bit longer. I'll probably pull it in mid/late June and use the space to grow other smaller plants. I'm an urban gardener with very limited outdoor space. Come very late summer/early fall, I'll transplant the kale that I started indoors outside once the other plants are finished. floral_uk - Besides your kale becoming more fibrous, did you notice a difference in taste? I heard anecdotally that flowering can lead to a more bitter flavor. Has that been true in your experience?

That is Olivia Rose Austin. She does fine, though I don't use her often, in bouquets. As far as Austins, the best for cutting for me are Evelyn, Brother Cadfael, and Eglantyne. Munstead Wood is best left on the bush where he is is tough in heat and cold, but doesn't want to be a bouquet. Diane Mostly Evelyn Peonies, Munstead Woodk Brother Cadfael, and ? I don't know if you'd consider antique roses, but a standout performer in my east San Diego County garden was Souvenir de la Malmaison. It bloomed ten months out of the year, was always healthy and had really beautiful flowers. It's good in the heat and long-lasting as a cut flower, and of course it's fragrant.

Hi. I have some *very fresh* ruby red Pentas lanceolata seeds. Butterfly attractor and also looks great in a vase.

And I have fennel which has nice fragrant feathery foliage for use as a filler in arrangements. In late summer it has big bright yellow flower clusters usable in arrangements. Attracts butterflies too! :)

Also have ornamental asparagus, which makes lovely, ferny foliage for use in floral arranging and makes pretty red berries which look nice in arrangements or in the garden.

I would like some pink & blue wishbone flower seeds (if the seeds are mixed), otherwise i'd prefer just the blue kind.
I also would like some candy corn plant seeds and some gomphrena seeds.
