corn stalk after removing ears ?

This is my first year growing corn successfully. Last night I harvested 3 ears for dinner. Most of the stalks appear to have 2 ears some look like they even have 3 but the bottom ear is very small.

What do I do with the individual stalks that have been harvested since I am only pulling a little at a time? Do I pull the stalks as they are harvested or do I wait until the entire stand of corn has been picked to pull the stalks up?

Also if I want to freeze the corn while still on the cob, do I have to blanch it? or can I just pick, shuck and put in freezer?
