jimster, the soil was purchased from a local nursery this season, formulated for raised beds. While the mix does include sandy loam, It has added compost as well. When I dig down into the soil, it has a nice fluffy texture and is not dry, but not wet either ... slightly damp, I'd say. The plants were fertilized with EB Stone organics for tomatoes and vegetables a week ago. I neglected to fertilize the soil when I planted the seeds.

Not a disease. I see pitting, probably due to a water imbalance which includes both water you give it and humidity. The brown tips and off color are also environmental stress. As has been suggested in replies to your previous posts, stop spraying until you get a firm ID. Can you take the plant to an independent garden center which has lots of indoor plants? If so, take the entire thing, but leave it in you car/truck , then ask someone if you can bring it in for a look-see or if some one will go to the plant. My conclusions, after all these back and forth conjectures plus your various treatments, is that the plant is suffering, in part, from excess TLC. Another part of the problem is that it needs more light.

I didn't really thing it was the maple bugs, but I thought I should ask as they OWN this place. Thanks much for the earwig advice! I saw nothing out there at night (earlyish) but I tried the usual tuna-can liquid trap and the results were a resounding YECCCH! I also shot down some diatomaceous earth, since I had it kicking around. There is a repulsive picture of the culprits now on the photo album on my page. Not much there but this because I just created it so I could put a photo with my initial post. Those little things look like young earwigs to me.
