I just got a lot of flower seeds. Here is the whole list:

5- Baby's Breath - Covent Garden - 09 C

6- Bachelor's Button - Mixed - 09 C

4- Calendula - Mixed Colors - 09 C

2- Dianthus - Mixed Colors - 09 C

4- Marigold - Crackerjack, Mixed - 09 C

4- Marigold - Dwarf French, Mixed - 09 C

2- Old Fashioned Mixture - Annual Cut Flowers - 09 C

1- Phlox - Drummondi, Mixed Colors - 09 C

1- Poppy - Shirley, Mixed Colors - 09 C

6- Zinnia - California Giant - 09 C

2- Zinnia - Lilliput, Mixed Colors - 09 C

I'm interested in any kind of Fruit, Vegetable, or Herb seeds and I'd also trade for plants (and tubers such as for Jerusalem artichokes and such), and maybe even some non seed items.

As far as the vegetable seeds, I prefer Heirlooms, or other open pollinated seeds. I would prefer Organic too, but if you do not have organic... then thats fine. I'll take what I can get.

Hi, I am interested in your: Baby's Breath, Phlox, and 2 packets of Aster. Plus zinnia california giant maybe?

I will trade my:
*Italian Salad blend seeds
*watermelon Black Diamond
*Tomato Black Cherry
*Cantalope Edisto 47
*foxglove
for your seeds. Please note that my seeds are all what I got from trades, so it's not from my garden.

Hi Trillium Thank-you very much for your consideration to donate to our school Gardening Club. I work at a school that serves new comers to Canada ESL/ELD and even though the students may not speak English at the on set, many have experience growing produce in their home country and verbal communication is not so important when dealing with the process of mother nature. I am not sure what is up regarding not being able to email me via Garden Web??? Desert gardening?

missed this. "Desert climate" is a bit too vague; there are 3 major deserts in the US. My best advice (non expert!) is to learn to love your native flora, and plant them. They'll do much better than trying to transplant typical plants successful in other areas. As a complete newbie gardener who bought a home with a patch of bare dirt in the Chihuahuan desert, I've learned a lot and, of course, am still learning. I have a ton of books. Some of my faves are: Sunset's Gardening in the Southwest (very pretty pics, and clear explanations of climate zones and what to expect) Desert Landscaping by George Brookbank - superb reference, including info on pests and diseases, container plants, irrigation, etc. The Hot Garden by Scott Calhoun; my favorite, and a great plant list ETA: Unfortunately, the Southwestern forum here on GW is dead. The Arizona and Texas forums may be helpful. Texas A&M has a great website with lots of good plant info: http://agrilifeextension.tamu.edu/ My local Master Gardener's organization was also very, very helpful. Depending on what zone you are in you might want to plant some small trees to place the house on the lot, i.e., redbud, dogwood, crapemyrtle, etc. and then work your plants around them and maybe put some evergreens against the railing to show off the house, i.e. dwarf holly, azalea, laurel, etc. The plumbago you can see, tall, but the ajuga hugs the ground tighly so you might want to use that along the walk.
