Pull out dried up sugar snap peas?

Hello, like everyone else in the U.S (it seems), we in Alabama are in the middle of a constant heat wave (seriously, it hasn't rained at my house in 21 straight days). I discovered too late that my tall, beautiful lush sugar snap peas have been severely harmed by lack of rain, and watering over the last week has not help. The tops are still green, but the bottoms of the stalks are brown and brittle. They are also no longer really staying up on their own. So, pull them out and start over, or will they recover as I continue to keep a better watering schedule? Thank,
