I have a 7 year old flavorich pluot that has never produced fruit---,the last two years it set fruit but it dropped it's fruit at dime size, any ideas why . 2nd. part to this inquirery is the more interesting. What type of plum can I gaft onto it? Flavorich is a Friar X unknown pluot cross, rootstock unknown?
I feel safe with another pluot and a japanese plum but what about an european?Any thoughts on this ,has anyone attempted to graft an european onto a pluot .I have grown a green guage and stanley for years so I have plenty of scions to work with but am concerned with longer term incompatabillity.
