Yellow bell shaped flowers, drought tolerance, and hardiness to zone 7 to 11. Im open to all types of swaps, so let me know if your interested. BTW, i have a fair number of these, so dont be shy about asking for quantity

No insight from experience, but it looks as though these germinate best (surface sown) at approx 70-75 with no pre-chill required if that helps you to make up your mind. Something else to consider - "blooms 12-16 weeks from seed" and it looks like germination can take anywhere from 5-20 days, possibly adding another two or more weeks there from sowing. In my cool summer area I think I'd need to get these going sooner rather than later if I wanted to enjoy more than the foliage....your climate could differ.

Your plants, like mine, have an infestation of Tecoma Leaf Tier. “Tier” is pronounced like tire. The worms tie the leaves up in curls. They also skeletonize the leaves, and they end up looking like clear tissue paper. The black dots are their poop. From what I’ve found, it it’s a relatively new insect. Also, from what I’ve found, they can be controlled with an organic spray called BT. BT stands for Bacillus thurengiens, but don’t trust my spelling of the full name. BT is a soil microbe that affects the intestines of worms and caterpillars. They aren’t killed on contact. They die when they eat it, so you don’t have to spray every single insect. Other insects and critters, like bees, pets and people, aren’t affected because they don’t have the intestines of a worm. For more info, Google ”Tecoma Leaf Tier.”

Nativesun I was wondering if you could tell me how long these take to reach blooming size? I have a couple that were started from seed this winter and are growing well but no flowers yet. Hope you don't mind my question.

Karyn, given the right conditions you can expect plants of flowering size with a year and a half. This is a particularly fast grower when given the full sun it likes. Tabarhodes and chrystallake, emails sent. BTW, i just updated my exchange list with some more of the seeds that I have.
