I see this is a very old post, but all your plants caught my attention.. lol. I was wondering if you would have any starters or slips left from any of them.. but I am in particularly interested in Christmas ,easter, thanksgiving cactus, heck, I just love all plants but only have 3 (yes you read that one right..lol.. 3!!! my spider, my norfork island pine and my fig.. Linda, when its flowers fade, hundreds of little, black seeds develope. Let them drop. Instead of one Moses/Rhoeo, you'll have many. You can sow seeds if you're into sowing. There's a few Rhoeo varieties..your light green with white stripe is either Rhoeo variegata or, Oyster Plant. (don't remember its species name) Oysters, for some reason, are more finicky than purple, green, purple and green or purple and silver, types. Have you noticed? Ann, Moses in the Cradle/Boat love humidity..humidity and bright light. Our conservatory has Moses growing on the bottom/ground floor. Because of the humidity, leaves grow long and thick. The way they should look. I wish mine looked half as nice. Toni

Perhaps your friend will offer you two shoots? If so, root one in water, the other in soil. I've rooted both ways.. Because we're talking an unrooted cutting, place in a small pot. Slip pot in a plastic bag, with the top opened or slit. When watered, discard excess water that may leak in plastic. Roots should form anywhere between 2-3 weeks. I know a number of people who, when root cuttings, dig through soil to see if the cutting took. Don't do this. Disturbing roots only causes problems. Once you see new growth, remove plastic. BTW, plastic heats, especially in sun. Medium/bright light should do fine. I've rooted Moses/Rhoeos in north windows. But after roots formed, they went in brighter light. Purple, I used to get poison ivy every summer. Once when I was 11 years old, I had it so bad that my eyes and mouth almost shut. Before we had air condition. Hot summer months. I found a cure that stops the itch and the rash almost gone in one day if used early. It is Head N Shoulders dandruff shampoo. Pure some on, let set. Rinse and repeat if needed. If done when first contact, it is gone same day. You could try to see if it helps you. Also good to use on your hair. Ha Ha. Stush
