I have about 6 to 7 inches of snow in the yard and am expecting a couple more today.... if you find some warmth and sunshine let me know !!! High temp today supposed to be around 28 farenheit!!

Hi kaw I'm pretty new to all this too. But I think if germination is a concern Why not start them indoors? A lil further north than me. But it does seem to be a cool summer this year. But any real concerns an answers specifically for your area. Give your county extention office a call and or look and see if the have a website. If they do they probably might have a FAQ section... oh well just a thought or two.. sure some smart people will come along soon enough. But then again this greatlake forum don't get a whole lot of action... to bad!

That's a shame. Our winters are off and on, and most nurseries have them already, and only one that I know of keeps them inside a greenhouse that's heated. It was about 45 last night and will be probably below 40 tonight. I have 5 planted, and am covering them at night with pots, and the rest are still in pots or seed trays, and I'm bringing them in at night. I'll see how those that are already planted do this spring. I'm tired of not getting more than a few tomatoes.

Ugh, we've already had more snow this year than the last two put together. I was hoping global climate change might me it would never snow here again. Ha. Love the Cuddl Duds and I want to get a fleece lined pair next. I also ordered a pair of Saucony running pants from Sierra Trading Post and they fit like they are made for me. When the comments said that they ran a bit big in the behind, I knew they were made for me! They are mid-weight and aloig with the CDs, they are quite warm. I wanted to order a second pair but they are sold out. Boo hoo. Only cost $25! Love the tips I got here.
