Unfortunately , in our zone it will not survive outdoor . I keep my young tree during winter time inside in pot. It is indeed beautiful , gorgeous, evergreen tree with cute leaves and fragrant flowers . I have two types of Mimosa seeds , one is actually tree and second one is bush with silver leaves and yellow fragrant flowers . Bouth will bloom on third year . So, let me know if you want it.

Would like to trade my Pink Mimosa Tree and/or brown eyed Susan seeds for interesting wildflower seeds that would work for my zone 6 acreage. I have an area I'd like to turn into a native wildflower area. I'm also needing water plants for my half acre pond. I'm also willing to trade mimosa tree seedlings for any plants on my trade list. My neighbor has a red mimosa that is pretty much growing wild over our fence from an area of his yard that is extremely wild. Who knows when it was planted or what that area looked like at the time. The only reason I know it's there, in and among the weeds, is it's right outside our bedroom window so I spied the flowers once. I'm trying to air layer it now and just did a google on seeds but didn't find any instruction on how to gather them. If you are interested in it, and I can figure out how to collect the seeds, I'll try to do a little harvesting. It's in an area of our yard that's really hard to keep an eye on, so I fear I'll miss the seeds. Anyone have advice? And if the air layering works, I'll definitely try one for you too. Susannah
