Peas? Is there a "continuously producing" variety?

I am in Dallas, TX. First time this late spring I grew Peas (sugar snap, sugar ann, mammoth pea, oregon sugar), They all gave kind of one flush of crop and then no more, no new flowers even. May be it is the weather. Peas are a cold weather crop. I read here some where here suggestion of sowing peas every two weeks to get continuous harvest. I am thus assuming that peas by nature only give one harvest and no more.

So, my question: Is there a variety of snap peas that gives continuous crop?
