Wanted: Rose Campion seeds

Any color ...

I decided to try perennial seeds again this year without having much luck in the past. I have done A LOT of reading on this forum and think that I am ready to try again.

I have just harvested from my garden for trade: dark blue salvia and columbine seeds, and coral bells seeds(green leaves with red flower stalks).

Have a few loquat seeds

I also have a full commercial pack of chinese lanterns.

few left of these commercial packs:

blue bedder salvia

Gaillardia goblin

jack be little pumpkins

from last year:

baby's breath

lavender vera true

purple cone flower

shasta daisy

penstemon

Hi, I got a rose campion plant at the local swap this spring. The flowers are darker than regular. I saved seeds. Hopefully they come out as nice next year. i would leave them be.. until sept.. and just do it all at once.. why you think all that work of digging and potting will make less work.. i dont understand ... less work.. is leaving them there... if your friend wants them... have her prep an area.. come over with a plastic grocery bag.. fill the bag.. and let here go plant them at home.... see!!!! ... no work for you ... well.. one phone call .. lol... frankly.. arent the mature ones blooming.. give her a couple million seeds.. and just kill yours .... its not like they are hard to come by ... lol.. once you have one in bloom .... save some seed for yourself to spread.. after your bed work is done .... listen to me.... you said.. your goal.. is to reduce your garden.... but dont get confused.. and go making it a giant chore ... my best idea ... prep a small holding area [maybe your veggie garden?]... and in sept.. move some precious things over there.... then decimate your beds.. and next spring.. move out your treasures .... ken

Many thanks to all who replied. I am going to have plenty rose campion seeds now.

I still have some of the dark blue salvia , med - dark blue columbine, and coral bells seeds that I just harvested, and last years seeds:
baby's breath
purple cone flower
shasta daisy( i do have some of these fresh too)
penstemon

if anyone wants to trade for those, I'll trade for most any perennial seeds
(except anything poisonous - b/c of my small children and invasive b/c i am already fighting that battle with a few other weeds lol).

Hi, Liz:

Be sure to consider Wintersowing, it's a great way to get perennials (and annuals) started. The mini-greenhouses we use help if you're sowing in spring and summer, too--you just have to have some shade, or they'll overheat.
