I'm willing to trade ALL the seeds I have left (listed below) for some Asian or heirloom kale seeds... opened packets are fine!. I particularly need White Russian Kale and some Spigariello Liscia (Italian kale). Your treasure chest of seeds would include:

Grown as annuals, not perennials. They'll take some very cold temps but they are not going to overwinter in your zone - they are mainly grown for a Fall to early winter display. Kales do not tolerate summer heat, and plants set out in spring will bolt - start from seed in mid-summer or purchase transplants for a good fall show. Seeds must be sown under cool conditions for seedlings to thrive..... Sow your seeds about 6-10 weeks before the first frost - if you are still having warm temps 6 - 10 weeks before first frost, you may have to use your refrigerator for germination.

thank you ibaprogrower... just went to the northeast greenhouse conference and expo in worcester mass, found a few people that do Ornamental Cabbage Kale plugs. i dont think i will have the time in may or june to sow my own seeds. so if the plugs are not to much at that time, then thats what i will buy.. as for the insects, anyone use marathon 1% "granular systemic insecticide" or some type of top dress application??? i rather not use a foliar spray application... ibaprogrower, im going to do some reading on Bonzi..ty again..

SWAP RECEIVED 6/28/10, THANK YOU! Part of my addres was smeared on the duct tape label and one of the stamps had fallen-off, but the USPS found me anyway!! I'm sorry mine came 2 cents postage due, the postal clerk told me there was enough postage on it. Thank again!

I have Sutherland Kale ('10) and Red Russian Kale ('09) from my seed saving efforts. I have a smaller amount of Dwarf Siberian Kale, Tuscan Kale and Kai-lan (Chinese kale / broccoli) from open packets.

I'd be interested in your lettuce and / or Arkansas Traveler tomato, but if they are gone already I'm happy to send you the kales anyway.

I'll be out until the 13th but I'd be happy to send you some when I get back if you're interested.
