WANTED: stinging nettles seeds or plants

I've been trying to get some of these nettles for a year now. Most people think I'm nuts. They are a great healing herb and can also be steamed and eaten like spinach. Once steamed the nettles soften up and don't sting anymore. My trade list doesn't show much of what I have. Please tell me what you want to trade and I might have it.

Wow,didn't know you can eat them! They are a horrible weed problem in my backyard. I just wacked them down a few days ago but they grow fast. If you don't find any soon then let me know and I'll see if I can get you some when they grow back in a week or so. OUCH, LOL!

They are also the host plant to several spp of butterflies, notably the Red Admiral.
I grow mine just for that purpose.
I'll let you know when mine come up, as it's still pretty cold up here.

Karimi, Johnny's Seeds lists Stinging Nettle seed for sale. A link is provided below. I have heard that when cooked that these plants do have healthful properties. I will never forget an incident on the first day of our first trip to England. We were roaming the grounds of Dover Castle when I spotted a plant that I thought looked like some kind of mint. I reached over and rubbed its leaves with my thumb. My thumb felt like I had touched a Pack Saddle caterpillar - worse than a bee sting! desertdance - cooking and drying remove the sting. And you need to gather very young nettles for use as a vegetable. They are very nutritious. You can also spin fibre from them. In the UK we grow up getting stung by nettles as they are all over our countryside but the effects only last a few minutes. Maybe we are desensitised? I've yet to meet anyone who grows them intentionally.

I am starting some false nettle (Boemeria cylindrica). Would you be interested in a couple plants?
I don't know if they have the same medicinal quality, but I'm sure they're still edible, and no OUCH:)

Leafhead, they have alot more medical properties than the stinging ones. Yes, I would love some.What do you want in exchange?
