I guess I should have added that you will likley get more offers to trade, if you would either list in your post, or better list on your Member Trade page some of the seeds you have available for trading.

Like I said, just list them for possible trades. The purpose of the Seed Exchange is for Trading Seeds though GW has always allowed members to offer up their excess to share with other members for the cost of postage to mail them. Asking for seeds with nothing to trade is not permitted...

If people would simply ask me for a copy of my list I would be able to send them one I have said I have things which I would be able to offer I have not stated the number nor quantity and I do not feel comfortable offering them as things I have harvested when in fact I have not harvested them

I do not understand why this must seem so difficult once I have harvested from this years plants I will begin listing my seeds until then people will need to ask me which may last until July due to where I am located however once I have my garden planted I do see a second garden in my future one which I intent to harvest from year round one which I should be able to offer many things from to trade

I am quite confused by your last post. I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to say, so please correct me if I'm wrong, but from what you posted I understand what you are say is the following.

You have not listed any seeds for trade either on your member trade page or on this thread because you don't have any seeds to trade yet, but you will mid to late summer after you collect seeds from the plants that you will have growing in your beds.

You don't want to list the seeds that you will have as seeds to trade until you have them collected, which makes perfect sense to me and anyone else.

Yet at the same time, it appears you want to set up trades for seeds now and have members send you their seeds now and you will send seeds to these members some time in July or after that and the members have to ask you what you will or may have in the future but not now.

And you don't "understand why this must seem so difficult."......

I don't understand it either.

Simply put, this forums is called "The seed exchange forum" for a reason. It is a forum where members make arrangements with other members to exchange/trade seeds with each other.
Members list seeds on their member trade page that they already have collected, purchased or have extras from other trades, as well as seeds that they want to trade for.
The members then either post that they have seeds for trades and/or what seeds they are looking for and those that are interested check the threads and post to the offers that interest them.

There are also posts from members that offer their extra seeds for "free", just send a bubble envelope and postage for the seeds.

What isn't done, nor would be considered a trade is what appears to be the offer that you are offering. Attempting to set up a trade for seeds expecting seeds to be sent to you now and you would fill your end of the trade sometime in the future, long after the seeds could be started for this year.

Now if I am confused/mistaken with what I have interpreted your offer and what you are saying to be, please correct me. Otherwise, what you are really doing is not something that is set up on GW and it would be best for you to just look for offers that say BEAP, SASBE, Free seeds for postage and check out the members trade list to see if they have something you are looking for.

As has already been stated in another post to you, asking for free seeds is not allowed on GW and essentially you are asking members to send you seeds in hope that you will honor your end of the trade and send seeds that you say you will have some time over the summer that can't be started and used until next year.

I have seeds which I am able to trade now however many are from trades on different sites because I have not harvested those seeds I would not feel comfortable listing those as my seeds I do happen to keep a copy of those which I am able to easily access with my email if people would just ask

The ones I intend to list which will be listed later will be harvested from my garden till I have harvested from my plants this year I would not feel comfortable however as I believe I have repeatedly said I do have many seeds which I could offer

If you have seeds that are available for trades, even if they are from trades from another site, you list those as part of your trade list. You list them as "extras from trades" whether they are from GW trades or other trades.

By the way, they are "your seeds" if they are in your possession, they are just not seeds that you personally collected from plants of your own on plants of friends.

I don't know what it is like on other garden sites, as I am only a member of GW, but on GW members list their seeds that they have available for trades for BEAP/SASBE offers on their member trade page, it is not expected of members on GW to have to email another member just to find out what the member has available for trades after they post for seeds.
I also don't know about other garden sites and their rules about asking for free seeds and if that is OK on those sites.

On GW it is not OK to just ask for free seeds, GW does not allow it, and it is in the rules that are posted in a thread on the seed exchange forum for all to read, both old and new members.

Any one or a combination of any or all of the following will happen when someone posts for free seeds and has nothing to trade for those seeds.

They often then have the rules pointed out to them.
They are often steered to the seeds for postage 'offers' since they have nothing to trade
They often have their posts pulled and receive a gentle warning from GW.
After one receives too many gentle warning, they are then banned from posting

It still seems to me that you are the one making this difficult, not GW or their rules.

It has been pointed out to you, how to set up your member page, trade page etc, how to list seed that you have available for trades.

If you have seeds for trade, you list them on your member trade page and you list the seeds that you are looking for.

It has been pointed out to you several times that GW doesn't allow members to post for seeds that they want and have nothing to trade in return for those seeds and you have not posted a list of seeds for trades for the seeds you posted that you want, but you claim you have seeds that you could trade for and members should email you to find out what those seeds are.

The simple thing is to follow the rules of GW and the seed exchange forum, list the seeds you have for trades, the seeds you want, and don't break the rules of the forum.

It's that simple, not difficult. You are the one making it difficult.

So it would appear I will remain frustrated and have a rather unpleasant feel foe this location untill July? In my trades on the different places often you send eighter a copy or a link to you're trade list that is the system I am familliar with and to me someone saying "I have (list of things) what do you have?" and from there I will eighter ask what they would like or send my list or a link if it is too long for the 5000 character limit I have had no issues with that format
