Butterfly Garden Seed Package from The Butterfly Ranch?

Hi, I had someone very generously send me a package of seeds from The Butterfly Ranch I think it was called, last year. Well, my ex destroyed a lot of my plants and threw away some of my seeds & I no longer have any of them. :( Please, if you are still on GW & see this post, I would love to get some more of the seeds from you! I would be willing to send a SASBE and some of my veggie seeds if you want. Please let me know! =)

Hi! I love it that you're working with kids. I teach "recycle" classes to kids in my part-time job. Anyway, I have hummingbird mixed seed from Dollar General. I bought it fall 2011 so it was packaged for 2011, not 2012. It's a mix of adonis aestivalis, centaurea cyanus, cheiranthus allionii, cheiranthus cheirri, coreopsis tinctoria, cosmos bipinnatus, delphinium consolida, dianthus barbatus, dracocephalum moldavica, gypsophila elegans, theris umbellatum, lavatera trimestris, linum grandiflorum, linaria maroccana, malope trifida, papaver rhoeas, phlox drummondii, saponaria vaccaria, silene armeria. If you'd like it email me your address and I'll send it out to you. My favorite flower is Gaillardia and I'd send you some seed for that, too (and it's perennial). Any more information on this would be great - I have managed to start 3 buddleja plants from mixed seed (so I have no idea what species/cultivars they are) and whilst they're fairly vigorous they're not growing very fast. Sown last August, indoors, they overwintered and then grew very quickly in spring but seem to have stalled since they were put outdoors. At the moment they are in large, well drained pots in the sunniest spot in the garden - any idea why their growth seems to have stalled at about 6 inches tall?

I have not grown them from seed, but I do know that it takes a long time after the flower is dead for the seeds to show up. I have propagated from cuttings which is real easy. All I do is cut right under a leaf, take off the leaves, just leaving a few at the top, stick it in soil in a pot and keep watered for a while. Originally I keep it in the shade, but when I can pull on the stalk and it doesn't easily move, then I start adding sun to its routine. I plant them once they have been in full sun for a while.
