Wanted: Trade Chile and Hot Pepper Seeds

I've got some extra hot pepper seeds hanging around that I saved from last year. I've already germinated all the ones I want for this year and want to trade for some other varieties. I prefer peppers that are good for drying and are unusual. Email me at jpanall (at) artic (dot) edu if you want to trade, I can put ten or so in an envelope and mail them to you. My germination rate has been excellent so far, I usually wrap them in a wet paper towel, place that into a plastic bag on a heating pad and check each morning for germination.

Keritang: this is a long curly, thin cayenne from Indonesia. Grows great here in Chicago and is fantastic as crushed red pepper.

Kashmir: These are small round chiles that are dried, ground up and used in Indian food.

Lal Mirch: This is a cayenne variety from India.

Pusa Jawala: Another cayenne style pepper used in Indian food.

Thai Pepper - Prik Chi Faa: These were grown from seeds I acquired from pepper bought at a Thai grocery store here in Chicago. These should be eaten fresh, either green or red.

Good luck to everyone for the 2008 growing season!

Jeff
