I'm new to peppers, any advice on production?

Hi, I have a question on what makes pepper plants have a healthy production. Mine look healthy, but the flowers drop 90% of the time. They get sun all day, i water them everyday, and I'm even talking to them now begging them to produce!

I must have read hundreds of articles on NPK and the benefits of each. After adding tons of used coffee grounds and realizing nitrogen doesnt make plants produce anything but height and leaves...I realized I needed phosphorus! I've tried to add a healthy bit of it to my garden, but I am only getting a few tiny peppers from my Jalapeno plant, and my Yummy Orange Peppers.

Should I be using manure? I am green with envy when I see pictures of plants that are overproducing to a shocking point!!! How can I get there? Mulch? Manure? Different soil?

Thanks for any advice!
