Have germinating aconitums, rose, others

I have several seeds kept in cold stratification that are either starting to germinate or need to be taken out and sown. They include:

Aconitum Ivorine - some germination

Aconitum Pink Sensation " " "

Aconitum Unknown medium blue - some germination

Rose rugosa type, semi-double purple flowers, Huge hips, germinating now

Magnolia Leonard Messell - 6 seeds

I also have seeds that have short viability and should be sown yet this year. They are:

Primula farinosa

Primula denticulata

Primula japonica

Dicentra spectabilis, pink and white

Dicentra spectabilis, white

I no doubt have others I can't think of right now, will try to update. Please post here with what you have for trade.

Also have angelica gigas seeds, another type of seed that is best sown within a year.

Your expectations of how long germination is going to take needs an adjustment - aconitum from dried commercial seed takes patience. And when some germination does take place, it can be erratic, meaning not all seedlings will appear at the same time - they may be days, or weeks apart. Self sown by the plants, the seeds would be exposed to warm (relatively speaking) Fall rains, then a cold moist winter, to germinate close to Spring when temps begin to warm again. As monkshood from commerical seed can be difficult, sometimes best to try copying mother nature. You can do that by giving the seeds a warm moist period of 2-4 weeks, moving to 40F for 6 weeks, then bringing back to warm.

I loved my monkshood but lost it when I moved last year. Although possibly my mother still has a bit of it growing (must remember to check). I grew mine in a pot -- one flower stalk the first year, then two the next year than lots the following year. It was such an enthusicastic little plant. Years ago, I also had one with splotched leaves but I haven't seen that for sale ever since.

The magnolias are spoken for but everything else is still available:
