Broccoli and cauliflower dying leaves

I had some aphids on my broccoli and cauliflower. I found one of those "recipes" online that suggested soap, water, and vegetable oil. So, I sprayed my broccoli, cauliflower and sugar snap peas. The leaves on the peas have pretty much died on the bottom but the top of the plants are flourishing. The broccoli and cauliflower leaves, though, are sort of crispy (from the sun, I'm sure), wilted and browning around the edges. My question is whether this will kill my plants or if I should keep them. The insides of the plants are still living and green but I don't know if the outer leaves are necessary to the plant flourishing.
