I really do not have much and most of what I have I am a bit unsure of. They are mostly all seeds given to me that I will not need this year. I already have my starts and a few extras put away in case.

Blanket Flower

Gaillardia x grandiflora

these are beautifull! The tag on mine read Fanfare mounding.

Aparently these dont grow true from seed. Thats too bad but one of the posts on this flowers page says you get intresting verietys anyway.

Cosmos

Cosmos sulphureus

as close as I can tell this is the seeds I have. they bloom orange and yellow.

Marigold

Calendula officinalis

These were given to me late 08 maybe october. The bag says marigold ASSF. I have no idea what they are. I will start them this year and see if I can match them to a breed. Untill then I have far more than I need. Anyone up for a superise??

Balsam

Impatiens walleriana

I believe these are the ones I have seed for. My neibour called me over to her home this year to look at a flower she called a "Touch me not". She then demastrated why they are called so by rubing a finger down a seed pod that exploded. They were growing in orange and pinks. Verry pretty. I will have 1 extra pack of seeds this season. It contains maybe 50 seeds.

The packet says butterfly mix. From a previous trade.

What I would like is much more :( I am trying to make my garden mostly usefull. Editable and medicinal. Also some items that would be enjoyed in the evening and night and winter. Few winter though I know there are a flower or two that are suposed to bloom then.

Howdie everyone. To my defense I am a very inquisitive person. I am now and have always been the one asking How Why When ect...I am not one to simply kick the tires and call it a day. No way...I am the one taking the car to the drag strip to test it LOL! Even as a child I was the one taking things apart to find out how they work and some may call me nosey...I am ok with that. I ask the questions no one wants to ask and I notice things other people don't. Having said that I knew I had a bad gut feeling about Ilya's client. I will not go into details about them but lets just say I know enough to know that any transaction with these people will not be easy. So my realtor gave us the facts and covered every possible scenario and in the end Ed said our best option was to go with our plan of countering with $81,000. It showed that we were willing to be flexable but on the same token it shows that were also need to walk away with the funds to buy our next home. He reminded us of our homes true value as well as how much we need to move on. We simpy cannot go as low as $75. So we made the counter offer and asked for a response by Friday. BUT...... WE also got another offer!!!! No it wasn't either of the 2 who claimed they were going to write offers. Nope it was the young couple who came thru Monday evening!! They were approved for $80,000 and offered $80,000!! They have been out and about looking for some time now so they are ready to settle when they came upon our home. So Frank and I are going to see what Ilya's reaction will be. We do not want to cut ties with him because you just never know. But we are most likely going to just accept the second offer since it will give us the extra funds to buy the fence (it always comes down to the fence with me LOL-I guess having lived in a row home for over 20 years I really want my own defined space LOL!!) Now Ed knows this second couples realtor really well and said he feels the 2 of them will be able to make this work out for both them and us as well. Sadly Ed told us since this whole transaction will be with FHA it is not likely any settlement will happen quickly. It may take up to 45 days so I wont be in my new house for July 4th. The good news is Frank and I have vacations scheduled for the last week of July and the first week of August!! We pick those weeks every year. So there ya have it. 2 offers is so much better than one!! Cheers! Susie

What a nice house - and beautiful grounds. Your curb appeal is outstanding. Some people might not like the sloping yard, but you've done a wonderful job with the outside. The inside seems very spacious. You might want to post this on the home decorating section of GW, as the posters over there usually have some really constructive suggestions. I've looked through the pictures. I won't make comments that require a lot of money (e.g., updating the kitchen), but a couple of staging issues that occurred to me (others may disagree of course): The house is painted in neutral colors, but perhaps too neutral. The couches and furniture are as neutral as the walls. I think you might do well to insert some color via pillows, curtains, etc. You don't have to have the cocktail and side tables empty. Put some colorful flowers or colorful books out to give texture to the room. The pictures all uniformly hung too high. Over the couch in the living room, for instance, the picture and sconces over the couch are so high that the first thing I saw was the hvac vent near the ceiling rather than the room itself. Pictures and other wall hangings should be part of the furniture groupings, not positioned so they draw attention to the ceiling. Take a look at pictures in the home decorating section of GW and see the height that most people prefer. Are those white chairs on the deck plastic? You seem to have a nice set out there on one side, and then some plastic ones on the other side. I suggest you just toss the white plastic ones. It will make the deck appear more spacious and upgrade it at the same time. Re-arrange the bedroom that has the bed in front of part of the window. The bed is off-center and obscures the light, giving the room a crowded feel and makie it appear smaller than it is. Take a couple of the diningroom chairs out, leaving just four at the table, put them in the basement around the table, and pack the folding chairs away. You should be able to walk around a table or it looks like the buyer's stuff won't fit properly either. Agree with a poster above that the walk in closet needs to have some of the clothes packed away. I really wish you all the best. I some marigolds to trade for you marigold...hahaha :) I just opened up one of my marigolds and got some seeds. I haven't sprouted them yet. Or I have an unopened packet of Marigolds "Jaguar" variety from Burpee to trade. I looked up your marigolds on Google Images and the pictures were not the marigolds I'm used to seeing at the HD store. The packet is 155mg (If size matters, it is just a standard seed packet). Le me know!

Carroteggs what did you look up?? I havent been able to find what marigold ASSF is. Maybe I confused you?? I would be happy to trade though. I have tons!!

assf=The Archaeological Society of Southern Florida, maybe it was collected on their property?

there was also a google thing about anaerobic fermentation, but I dunno that has anything to do with marigolds. ;)

I looked up just the name: Calendula officinalis. Yes I am willing to trade either my packet of seeds or my freshly harvested seeds. If you want it from the flower..do you want the all the seeds or just a few?Form the orange one or yellow one? (I don't know what color you will get from my seeds, but I assume they would be the same color as the flower they came from?) I have more blooming now They are kind of small. Will be taking a picture later on :)
