Stainless Steel chicken wire - source?
Comments (7)After an hour of looking on the web I found a company in Berkeley CA that has stainless steel (304) chicken wire in the size I wanted (1' mesh). It's not as expensive as other stainless steel wire mesh/cloth I found previously. I am going to purchase a 48' * 100 ' roll. Does anyone living in the Santa Rosa, CA area want to purchase half the roll? Cost would be half of whatever I pay. http://www.twpinc.com/twpinc/control/product/~category=TWPCAT_19/~product_id=001X001S0320W48HEX Here is a link that might be useful: http://www.twpinc.com/twpinc/control/product/~category=TWPCAT_19/~product_id=001X001S0320W48HEX...See Morenew member into & chicken wire question
Comments (1)Hi I'm new to topiary also. So far I have made 2 using premade heavy guage wire frames. (One is a 4 foot tall giraffe covered with creeping fig, the other is a 3 foot pyramid filled with pink impatiens) I also would love to make some out of hedges and was wondering about the chicken wire and how it holds up to weather. I know of some web sites that sell premade chicken wire frames, if you want the names. How are you going to make the designs? Any ideas what shapes you will use? Hoping someone will post about this too....See MoreWANTED: Chicken wire or wire mesh for fence
Comments (3)If your dogs are not large the scolloped wire border might work. It's inexpensive, about 18 in. high, comes in 2 ft sections and you just push it in the ground a little ways. I use it to keep my two dogs from tromping through the vegetable garden. The 22 lb. Basenji/Terrior mix and 16 lb. Miniature Poodle could jump it but they don't. I bought the green color at Big Lots and it virtually disappears, so much so you have to remember it's there to not trip over it. Big box stores also carry it. Or you could use black plastic deer netting which comes in different widths, or it can be cut in what height you want, and string it around using the green plastic covered medal posts or even short bamboo poles to weave through and hold it. It shows hardly at all either. The big box stores carry it, but Craigs List might be a good place to look for it also. Just a couple of ideas that might help. Comments (5)pay close attention to how they attach Lath to the STUDS THRU the dens shield. Recently saw a clown try to staple lath to the dens shield NO NO ! EXP1 plywood is fine for aquabar/felt/lath *IF ITS DONE RIGHT i dont like gypsum mud taped corners , theyll present possible issues over leaving them untaped as will the gypsum inside the denshield by the time they staple tru it and the felt/paper. In cali you are at the mercy of outdated methods and inspectors, what did the inspector say about the Preslope and the flood test? did they not want to see the lath work as well? All that being said There are some of the BEST tilers still floating walls and hot mopping like it or not....See Moremsjay2u
