I've got 4 seedlings from about 20-25 I sowed. I used the best dirt. I watched the moisture and made sure it didn't dry out. They were in dappled shade and have been through several 85+ degree days. They should have germinated by now if they were going to. I'm not impressed. If they're late, fine, but to not show up at all, they shouldn't have made such a fuss over these things when they released them. My R. "Autumn Colors", R. "Green Wizard", and seeds I collected from various sources have all done great. Even my echinacea are up and planted out. Echinacea paradox is almost as large as the ones coming back from last year. My cherry brandy seedlings, I have to get on my knees to make sure they haven't rotted away.

These seeds are definitely on my list, but I'm not going to kill myself trying to get them. I did a google search and found an auction on eBay that claims to be selling these seeds, but the picture looks an awful lot like Gaillardia Burgandy to me. This seller has a pretty high rating. I received some cherry rud seeds in a round robin swap and of course had to try them with all the talking you guys were doing about them last year! I have 6 sprouts out of about 15 seeds but they have only been up a little more than a week so maybe more are still to come. I am going to try to find a spot in bright full sun for them to have the best shot at deep red color and I am also going to try to find a spot NOT close to other rudbeckias (yeah, right, there is Goldstrum everywhere..)
