Pollinators

I noticed a couple of weeks ago that most of the small summer squash were simply dropping after blooming. I started hand pollinating and stopped the problem.

This morning, I noticed about a half dozen bumble bees servicing my squash blossoms so I can stop the hand pollinating.

Later in the day, I noticed some type of black wasp pollinating my pepper plants. They didn't touch the squash, tomato, beans, or cucumbers. They only went to the pepper plants with open blossoms.

Are pollinators usually so plant specific?
