HAVE: mammoth sunflower 6-7ft for other sunflowers

at the request of tabor, my son again!! LOL :')) he is so happy and thankful for the pumpkin seeds!! now he actually wants to let go of his sunflower seeds for some more of other sunflower seeds. any takers??? LOL please let me know hope ya'll had a great happy new year!! :'))

Although I don't need anymore mammoth sunflower seeds, I might be able to part with some "Autumn Beauty Mix" seeds that I got last spring. I also have some Mammoth seeds that came off of my >10ft sunflower if he would like something taller than 7 ft. Let me know what you think.

Ornamental or decorative are just terms for different hybrid sunflowers. I don't think any one is better than the others. It all depends on what you are looking for. It may be that they are unusual colors or doubles or dwarf.

LOL Ken! Was consolidating 2 compost bins into one yesterday and made a point to look for sunflower stalks because of your question. There was no trace of the mammoth stalks I put in there sometime between 6 weeks and 2 months ago. Although they're very hard on the outside, they are hollow and degrade very quickly.

It's probably flowering early in response to the shortening day length. That's natures way of assuring seeds before freezing weather. In your zone nature was a bit early. But in other areas of the country the response would be spot on with planting that late.
