There was a man on here sometime ago giving away potato seeds.
He is a seed collector ,when i talked to him he had collected over 10000 varities of seeds.
He sent me a few of a couple of differen kinds,not really splitable.

Very intresting,well worth the read if you really want to grow potatoes from seed. The gist of it is you wont be eating spuds right away,but you will breed potatoes suitable for your area.
He was very nice,maybe he still has some he had a lot he was trying to give away as I recall.
BTW, if you plant reg pot. sets there really are seed pods.They basically look like a small green tom.I picked some off mine ,but I think my dog ate em!
