LOTS!!! 'Maters for Traders

First off, I have 1 package of tomato seed that got mixed up when I was collecting seed. It is only 1 variety but I don't know which one. I have in narrowed down to one of the following. It is either Abe Lincoln or Slava Poryni(Polish Variety) There are probably a 1000 seeds in this packet. I am not going to grow these out to see which they are. I don't have the room. If anybody would like them for a SASBE you can have them. The first one to ask for them will get them.

Now, back to business. I have lots of heirloom tomatoes to trade. If you would like to make a trade please go to my trade list and check it out. If you don't have anything on my trade list to offer I would be willing to take flowers. I don't know about most flowers because I raise veggies and the such. The only requirement for the flowers are that they be annuals, 24" or smaller and will grow and flower in Iowa, zone 4. I don't want any aggressive flowers like Trumpet Vines and the like. Surprises can be fun let's see what we come up with.

Oh..and I have a bunch of Calendula seeds that are annual, stay under 2 feet, and they have edible flowers! I would love some of your Schimmeig Stripped Hollow Tomatoes!

Thanks, everyone, for the comments. I think some 'leaf miners' got into some of the leaves. I heard these are not usually detrimental to the plant's survival but put some sevin dust on them anyway. Don't know of an organic product for leaf miners. Maybe garlic/pepper spray? If anyone uses anything in particular, please let me know. Thanks, Sheri

Debbie, Hi! I moved into my house last Fall and discovering lots of things in my Garden. I lifted and divided my Iris' this weekend because they wouldn't bloom, so I can't tell you what color they are, but I would love to exchange some for yor your hydrangea. It sounds very unusual. I only had two bloom because they were so strangled, and they were yellow. They look like they are Tall Bearded. If you want to email me shellrak@lycos.com I can send you a photo, I am not an expert. I am also interested in daylilies, tulip bulbs, peonies, and wildflower perennials (blackeyed susans, daisies, etc.) I will be at the Sterling plant exchange on May 5th or can exchange by mail (though will need advice as haven't mailed before).

Lynn Marie, We plant Celebrity tomatoes which we start ourselves. Celebrity is semi-determinate type(sets fruit pretty much all at once, then after being trimmed back by half or a third, sets fruit again in the fall). We are happy with the taste and growth habit. We also plant Sungold, which is a cherry type, very prolific and sweet with a hint of tartness. I like to start my pepper and eggplants from seeds. We put in Keystone Select bell peppers--very reliable and great tasting! Ichiban eggplant is easy to grow and delicious. Some folks start cucumbers and squash inside, but with our long growing season I don't bother with that. You will get a lot of good advice on varieties of different vegetables that will make your garden enjoyable!
