I am looking for a few Ginger and Turmeric roots. I have seeds for trade or will even buy them from you and pay the postage. Here is my seed trade list:

Ginger roots are available in grocery stores like Walmart. I planted one last year and had a large stand by fall.

You can easily find both ginger and tumeric roots as well as a variety of others in any Oriental market.

I would love both of your gingers. I have tons of muscadine vines, and beautyberry bushes. I also have 32 varieties of mint plants. I have hillary's sweet lemon, lavender, lime, orange, chocolate, wild berries, and basil rooted already...But I can root any others within a few weeks time. Thank you!

Thanks Cocomo...actually did not expect anyone to reply back..so did not check back for a long time.Just as you said it took a few more weeks from the time i started this thread...but both my ginger and turmeric have sprouted.Infact all 3 of my turmeric roots have sprouted and have gorgeous long leaves and the plants are about a foot tall.It was absolutely exciting to see these things come to life after a long time. Btw what location do you plant them ? Is full shade fine.Also plant them in 5 gallon coantainers or in the ground.Do they survive the winter in Z10 or do they die back? Thanks , norma

I would love to trade anything on my list for starts of these plants! I can't find my exchange list yet on this new arena to edit, so will tell you a couple newer things I have to trade just in case they aren't on that list. I have lots of Chameleon plants, peppermint, spurge, strawberries & cream grass available and accessible to dig now! Also have many dozens of unnamed hosta to trade. Yeah I see both at this one store I go to. I was just thinking they wouldn't be too good. I was thinking that they being subjected to refrigeration or perhaps some chemical treatments they would not grow. But I will see. I have been wanting to visit a big Asian store for awhile.
