Please read the posts on down the page here on 'Postage'. Bubble envelopes are to be Large Flats.

I think if I was you, I would report her to the number listed in the one thread.

The crazy lady at my PO suggested that I only use regular envelopes to mail my seeds,otherwise she will charge me a small parcel fee

Well I did call and file a complaint today,the other thread is what inspired me to do something about it.(Many thanks to all who participated!)We will see who calls me back and tries to convince me I am wrong! I did my research before I called so they wouldn't treat me as if I didn't know what I was talking about!I am including a link so that explains their standards,so if anyone else encounters a problem they will be well armed! I don't think they think people are determined enough to look at their manuals! Hey maybe I will print it out for "Miss Post Master General" LOL! I was worried mine might have postage due to you! if so let me know. i usually try to overpay as i never go to the post office. i did have to pay 28cents for some seeds a few weeks ago (not yours) but like kathy said "free seeds who cares" if i had to pay full price for all the seeds i received last year i would probably be broke!

I haven't traded with you but just wanted to comment that the PO is so inconsistant with bubble mailers. I've received padded envies with anywhere from .63 to $1.25 and all have come through without postage due. I normally mail mine out with .82, if they are bigger then average I'll add another stamp. I will usually cut a full size mailer in half and don't know if that has any impact on the mailing cost. I don't bother mailing them from the PO any longer because I can get 3 different price quotes from 3 different PO employees at the same PO!

I am so happy to announce that I actually got a phone call today from a very nice man at my main PO,he assured me that what the lady at the other PO (we have 3 in my area) was wrong and he actually completely understood what I was saying!I explained that I did my own test and created a 3/4 inch slot of my own and that I was very exact on my measurments,I then took 2 bubble mailers and put alot more in them than I actually sent out and that I could fit 2 through the slot with no problem!He told me that the next time I mail to bring them to my main PO and to explain to the Head Of Clerks what happened and that they would sort it all out! He also told me that he knows 2-5 packs of seed in a bubble envy does not measure more than 3/4 inch!To everyone reading this,it does pay off to call and complain and if you are being charged a small parcel for your bubble envys,make the call!Well hopefully I am not jumping the gun on this and I will make sure I let you all know what happens the next time I mail!Thank You everyone for your advice on your mailing methods I really appreciate it!~Angie

I wish your guy could call my guy because they still aren't budging from the parcel rate. So I started mailing from home. If you get something from me and postage is due let me know.

Proud,I wish I could have him call! I am still hoping when I go to talk to the head of clerks he feels the same! I just hope this nice man was not passing the buck! I will let everyone know what happens bad or good! But I really can't see them wasting my time with a visit whenhe could have just told me I was wrong over the phone! I am going equipped with a few envys sent to me from many other PO's that only charged 80 cents. Like you while the weather is cooler I am mailing from home! I am still taking ones to PO that have live plants or I think might be more than 80 cents,but other than that I am falling suit of some of you more experienced traders and mailing from home!
