Blossom end rot question

Hi,this is my first vegetable garden,I do garden but its been flowers.Anyway I thought it was going great,I have yellow squash with lots of squash on my plants, the plants are very healthy looking but everyone of my squash are rotting on the end opposite the stem. They aren't touching the ground(I use straw)and they haven't been watered much.from reading I think its ber, does that sound like it and will my zucchini most likely be affected to?Anything I can do or do I need to start over?Should it matter the only preparation I did to the soil was have it tilled and I fertilized when planting the seed. Thanks in advance.Debbie
