I like Softee too; smooth as a baby's rump, which is rare in the rose world. Thanks for the heads up. Would be worth a drive to Tyler. I like Chamblee's, but as they go more and more "modern" with each passing year, I am thankful we have The Antique Rose Emporium to help us keep the old roses available in Texas. Randy

My wife was at Wally World yesterday, and checked the plants. They had only one grass; a Miscanthus at $4.99. She described it as "dead."

Oooo, Wanda! I'm so glad the cassia has taken off! Does it put out the yellow flowers at such a tender age? I hope so! We've really enjoyed ours-- it's constantly buzzing with bees. We're just about to move to a new house, so tell you what-- I'd LOVE a plumeria! I can't buy plants until it rains, but I am always on the look out for bargains. My last purchase was at Sandstone Gardens near the Downstream Casino. I bought an imperfect concrete dog that is very heavy. My friend made a smarty comment about it so I don't know if others would see beauty in it. I saw a concrete head of a lady with a place for a plant in her head with a drainage hole. I really liked her but she was about a $100. I see things like her in magazines. She was a bit too expensive for me.
