I have lots of sassafras trees, all sizes. I am looking for pastel blue, pink, yellow,or lavender iris. Or pastel bi-colors. Or a very deep red iris. Also, a fragrant flowering wisteria. Mine has been planted for at least five years and has never flowered :( I am in MO and if anything can live here, I'm sure it would be fine or even better in any other state. This is the hardest place in the country to grow much of anything. I have river birch but don't know what sweet birch is.

sassafras tend to sulk the first year they are planted keep them watered on a regular basis and your sass should come back with full force next year - the tend to like sandy light soils cheers
