That's ok, Nick. It was a shot in the dark and was utterly surprised when I got a hit. lol. I will post some on the group exchange and see what I can come up with. I had at least a hundred different den species until a family member thought they'd help me "clean up" and trashed all those that were resting for the winter and then some. I can't justify spending a lot of money to rebuild my collection... But thanks anyway! :-)

Hi, Reinbeaux. I live in Seward where we are surrounded by mountains. I have our local roseroot growing in my yard, but am in doubt if this is a good time to get starts. It has already become rangy and starting to go dormant, I think. I am not sure if this the the one you want. It grows quite low to the ground in the early season, and the blooms are a deep red brown. Email me for a photo, if you are interested in trading something next spring, or taking a chance this fall.

Hello everyone! I just got some RR's to sprout from seed this spring after overwintering seeds of two varieties in two pots. The seedlings are just starting to come up, having survived an attack by my poultry trying to dig into the pots. Fortunately my husband intervened, and their untimely deaths were averted. My questions are for anyone who has grown these, first, what kind of soil do they like? I assume they are hardy since they grow in Siberia! Are they easy to grow? Do deer/rabbits/mice/rats/cats/bats eat them or are they safe to grow without being fenced in? Any tips? Inquiring minds want to know!
