Hello Ron, I just got back from a holiday in the sunny southern tip of the Baja penninsula, so have been unable to reply. When I start pot them up in early April, they are indeed growing well by the end of May. When I pot them, I always put some newspaper on the inside of the pot ( like a pot within a pot) and thus when I take them out to plant in the garden, the roots don't get disturbed, and the newsprint becomes compost in the garden. Poohvbear, I believe she is talking to me about her Stapelia. Kathi, sorry I didn't get back to you on the progress. I can't figure it out. My luck at growing seeds is all gone. I cleaned up some 60 seeds from you and they looked ok. I soaked them like I always do and planted them up the next day. Well, after all these weeks, nothing. Also the other seedlings I had growing by them all died as well. It's almost like I am toxic to them. Total loss for me so far on 5 different seed orders. Lost about $40. Feels so bad. At least I didn't loose any money with you or made out. Still got my original collection to go on. Poohvbear, Keep on the look out for hybrids with Hoodia or some of the other exotic types. I wanted Tavaresia Barklyi. Planted the seeds from Ebay 3 different times and lost all. First time they all germinated and had started to grow. Then for some unknown reason, all died.
