My confederate rose hibiscus is more or less single this year but that is due to the drought we had as mine have been very heavy doubles that would bend the branches down when they opened. As for seeds I have never had any sprout but the sticks do just fine stuck into a bucket of water for a few months.

We have these all over, my daughter's town has people growing huge old stands as hedges-in bloom they are breathtaking. An old nursery guy over here said-take alive stem cuttings, put in pot of dirt, keep inside with house plants, it will loose the old leaves and look like just sticks, water when really dry, in spring you will have little leaves. Leave in pot, or plant in yard. I've done it-very easy Beautiful pic! Love this plant-CJ
