Hi Penny, Bingo. 'Silver Carpet' looks the same as regular lambs ear, but it doesn't flower. I can find lots of 'Helen Von Stein' in the nurseries around here, but no 'Silver Carpet'. Besides having a larger leaf, 'Helen Von Stein' is also greener than the regular silver lambs ear. Sharon

I have a lot of sunny ground to cover, so I keep dividing it and moving it around where I need to fill a spot. No flowers at all, which I like. I wouldn't call it too aggressive. 'Big Ears' is a superb edging plant and the silver foliage looks great with purple flowers or foliage. In full sun, it's difficult for me to find plants with large leaves that won't burn (or be eaten by deer), so this is a "go to" plant for me. It is a great companion for lavender, nepeta, salvia greggii, sedum and other drought-tolerant plants.

melle sacto, I think I want some lambs ears, but I've noticed ther are different kinds. Do you perhaps know what kind this one is? Since I'm stll rather new here I don't yet have a biggo list But maybe I do have something on my list that you might want since we're both Californians. Some things still are,nt listed yet.
