Have Yellow Daylillies: Want almost any perenial for zone 5

I have some yellow dayliiles I would like to trade. I am in need of some more pink in the garden.

I will take any pink, purple/blue or yellow perennial that grows in zone 5 (except more daylilies)

I also have a picture for you. I hope the link works :)

By the way I trade a good size plants. usually at least flat rate box full....

I have 2 perennials you might want. Helianthus multiflorus, which is a perennial sunflower, but NOT the annual type, yellow, and does spread. It is about 2" in diameter, and fully double. and I believe the other is Rudbeckia.

I would like some of your daylillies. I have red with yellow eyes that are antique and beautiful. The ones I have were registered but are no longer in cultivation. I am in the process of digging and dividing now. If you are interested, I also have buckeye (pink blooming) and eve's necklace seeds. Both are native US, hardy and provide beautiful pink blooms in the spring.

Lisa, I would love to trade for Lemon Balm and both mints. I will send out pictures and count exactly how many plants I have tonight. I sent you an email. How have your zone 5 Austins overwintered?

All my Austins made it through winter this year. In my zone I expect dieback and honestly a good 6-12 inches of healthy cane after winter is about all I expect. Only a few of my roses were mounded up a little with wood chips last year. Pat Austin, Benjamin Britten, and Tamora are the 3 that come to mind. Those that came through with 6-12 inches of green cane: Chianti, Crocus Rose, Eglantyne, Noble Antony, Redoute/Mary Rose, Scepter'D Isle, The Mayflower. This group of roses has over the last few years consistently been the most hardy of my Austins. These ones weren't quite as happy as the group above but are still looking pretty good: Abraham Darby, Charlotte, Christopher Marlowe, Graham Thomas, Heritage, Sharifa Asma, Tamora, The Dark Lady, The Prince, Tradescant, Wildeve And those that are still alive but not all that happy right now: Benjamin Britten Jude the Obscure - after 3 years he's still a small plant and not too quick to rebound. Leander Molineux - same as Jude Pat Austin - killed down to the ground. Hopefully there is a little something still alive at ground level or just below since she was planted deep. So beautiful and worth the extra effort to winter protect.. Pretty Jessica - I was really surprised because last year she fared much better. Still alive but I'm thinking she will be getting some extra protection this fall. William Shakespeare 2000 - he was a tiny plant to begin with. Didn't get off to a good start last year and may never be more than a 1 cane wonder. I should really get my hands on a better WS200 and replace the one I've got.

Larry.. i will try to simplify it for you ... in a few years.. lol .. your daughter can explain it to you .. lol OD is a descriptive term .... in the olden days... you could name a plant OD .... so there was an OD in a lot of different pines ... as listed above ... they have changed the rules .. and you have to use a real name now ... not a descriptive term ... i think that is the correct way to explain it ... here is an example you might under stand ... Pinus strobus 'Dragon eye Dirty diaper' .. a descriptive term ... lol .. think about it.. rotf .... more properly it should be Pinus strobus 'Pampers' ... or P. s. 'Luvs' or or P. s. 'White Cloud' ... or whatever version you have over the pond ... and you cant have Pinus strobus 'pampers' and a pinus koreansis 'pampers' .. and P thun. 'Pampers' .... the 'pampers' part is 'taken' with the first naming ....thereby avoiding confusion ... especially in Larry's head .. lol ... and mind you, mine.. and every body elses ... your confusion is actually the exact reason for the rule change .... right resin??? any clearer ..??? ken

I like grasses. I have two Miscanthus and one smaller growing type of switchgrass. I had a really tall big clump of another switchgrass which I dug out and discarded because it just did not look good in my garden. Bad placement but I had no other place for it. I had some other grasses (prairie dropseed and little bluestem) but those died out and I have not replaced them. Honestly now that I have all these shrubs, I could not immagine the yard with out them. I wanted them to attract the backyard songbirds with fruit and cover and also for screening to block my neighbors driveway. The Catbirds and House Wrens moved in after the shrubs started getting some size on them so my plan worked out well. Also, after I started reading what I wrote for this thread, I realize I have more different types of perrenials than I thought I did. I think my problem is that unless I have a massive amount of it, I don't seem to think it counts.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I am trying to remove all my daylilies and don't want more.
If you have another perennial I would be glad to trade. My whole neighborhood was planted with Daylilies by the builders and I like to be different so I want none in my yard.

I have a number of perennials you may be interested in, but many are in seeds: buckeyes (scarlet and Texas); eve
s necklace; purple coneflower; gaillardia (red and yellow), as well as multiple native grasses (stripa, inland sea oats) and salvias (autumn, gregii, and madrensis).

I also have multiple natchez crepes seedlings potted, as wll as severl vitex. In a month, the salvia madrensis will be in a good state to ship.

I have plenty to room for many more daylilies and I find that they work very well intermixed with the orange (fulva). All are welcome, and I will trade comparable.

txaggiegirl, I have some of the seeds you mention. I just don't have a lot of room to grow the plants. So I am mostly looking for plant trades for the yellow daylilies. I would like the ones you mentioned if they were plants (like the gaillardia and Autumn Salvia)
