Does anyone grow Peruvian Potatoes?

I had a lengthy conversation with a woman a few nights ago whose father used to grow potatoes in Peru, she confirmed what I already suspected, the majority of American potatoes, even my beloved Yukon golds, apparently pale in comparison.

Upon further research i found that over 3500 types of potatoes are native to the Andes mountains and of that almost 3000 are native to Peru

How many (including heirloom)are estimated to be grown, In the United States with a measurable amount and popularity?

about 250 some sites list closer to 280

How many do we find in farmers markets and grocery stores?

In my area there are maybe 15 IF i travel around a lot.

There are usually the regular baking potatoes, a few blue/purple novelties, 3-4 types of red potatoes and as many yellow.

What I want is something unique, does anyone grow Peruvian potatoes they would recommend? or know of a seed potato source? Google has been little help with this endevor
