cantaloupe woes

I've tried for years to grow cantaloupe and have failed every year. Basically I have never gotten a single cantaloupe. They claim it grows here in AZ but I have yet to see it. I'm beginning to believe that trellising has been my problem. This year I'm trying to grow it in self watering container. It's starting to get big and so far it's the best looking plant I've ever had. It's had tons of both flowers but absolutely zero pollination. The bees, which I have a lot of this year, seem to totally ignore it. Also, my hand pollination hasn't worked. What's the trick? Am I being impatient?
Here's a pic of it. Looks nice to me.

I'm about ready to give up on cantaloupe and just stick to watermelon.
