Have Dwarf and TB Iris for.your Iris,Japanese Maples

I have been replanting my gardens and have too many dwarf Iris of Michael Paul. These get to be about 6-12 in. tall depending on where they are planted and the bloom is a deep purple almost black in some light.

I am looking for dwarf and Tb Iris for a new neighbors' gardens to help him landscape.He is on a limited budget and caretaker for both his parents and his only outlet is going out and gardening in the yard.I'd like to trade for a couple of each rhizome and share with him what I get.He really wants a lace Leaf Japanese Maple even seedlings will do.

I have some-noids-in white,yellow,peach and blue in dwarf(not for trade)already.I am interested in the Gnus iris series and anything spotted or striped-unusual. I have a lot of purples and blues already and am looking for some reds,blacks.

I want to TRADE and not do postage for my plants.

Hello, I have some basil I started growing inside in December. It didn't germinate until march, and now the sprouts are still only 2" tall, bonsai basil, I guess. I could send you some and maybe you'll have better luck than me, I just won't be able to get it out until late next week at the earliest. Hi Maureen - I have an un-named iris I call "drive-by" since it was gifted to me by a gardener who was driving by with a pickup truck bed full of them. (She was moving them from and old farmhouse to a new house.) It is scented, vigorous and a productive bloomer. In the link attached, it is the one with the antique gold top and striped purple falls. It's possible that it might be "Lorely" - but that's just a guess. I also have plenty of those un-named yellows and blues you see in the photos. They are also fragrant. The blue smells a lot like cotton candy. I call those "Scrapyard Ron yellow" and "Scrapyard Ron blue" because they were gifts from Ron who owns the scrapyard, of course. If any of these strike your fancy, let me know what sized clumps you'd like. I have plenty. And if they aren't as fancy as you are looking for, no problem, I understand. :) BTW - I had really great germination on the daylily seeds you sent earlier this year. Thanks! The hardy sambucus racemosa 'sutherland gold' elder would work too, though depending on the size of your bed it might grow too large (or need annual trimming). Maybe coppertina ninebark? I find the elders like 'black lace' basically die back to near the ground here, but that makes them great smaller size shrubs for me. The falsecypress might do okay for you (depending on your location, they are borderline hardy in zone 3). I have one called sungold and one called curly tops. Maybe euonymus fortunei varieties like 'emerald gaiety' too. Japanese blood grass would be striking, but treat it like an annual in zone 3 (and it's a bonus if it survives winter.) One hardy grass that I like is bulbous oat grass. Then again blue fescue is great too. The bonus is that, if you are into Japanese-type ornaments for your garden, the stores really seem to have a lot of variety this year. In your above photo of the white iris, you'll note a sort of flesh-colored bud in the bottom right corner...that should be Beverly Sills...the bloom color is much prettier than the bud (fortunately!). She's generally prolific, both with plant and blooms. The one I suspected was going to be Grand Waltz surprised me & turned out to be Ringo. I'll get a pic and send later. Patrick

Hello,

I would be interested in a few michael pauls. I have a mixed variety of TB irises. Some are all purple, some are purple (more like wine) and beige and some are yellow. They will be mixed though so I wont be able to ID each specific one. Please send me a PM if your interested. Thanks
